Homepage Welcome Message
As Co Head Teachers, we would like to warmly welcome you to St Andrew’s C of E Primary School. Everything we do has the pupils at the heart of it. Our curriculum, launched in September 2018, offers the right balance of academic and practical, as well as a ‘character curriculum’ that enables everyone to develop age appropriate virtues, in preparation for our modern society’s needs. As a Church school we encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promote Christian values. Our extensive school grounds have led us to launch Forest Schools, and we also provide all pupils with opportunities to develop their competitive sports skills.
We have high expectations, and academic achievement is important to us. We aim to provide a challenging and innovative learning environment that inspires pupils to take responsibility for their own learning, and motivates them to be aspirational for their futures. We also place importance on our pastoral care and want to ensure that the of needs of the whole child are met. We want the best for every pupil and work in partnership with parents and pupils to achieve this. At St Andrew’s you will find a dedicated and talented team of staff and governors, engaging and hard-working pupils and supportive and proud parents.
Our pupils are aged between 4-11 years and we currently have approximately 430 on roll. We are lucky be set on a ten acre site, with three playgrounds, space for six football pitches, an outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor learning space and plenty of room for us to run The Daily Mile. The wide range of extra curricular clubs on offer enhance sports, academic, artistic and well being development, and is a mix of fee paying and free providers.
In April 2017, we converted to an Academy and are founding members of the Esher Learning Trust (ELT). The Trust’s vision matches our own and the academisation has enabled us to develop purposeful and mutually supportive links with other schools.
Choosing the right school for your child is one of the biggest decisions a parent can make. At St Andrew’s we genuinely value each pupil and the possibilities they bring. Please read on for a flavour of what we have to offer your child, or better still, come and see the school in action.
